Advise government agencies and non-profits on how to leverage land acquisition dollars through tax-advantaged planning and legal planning for property owners; extensive consultation with government agencies and non-profits on a wide range of private land protection projects.

Coordinate project teams on comprehensive planning for income tax benefits in connection with charitable contributions and bargain sales of high-value properties and high-value land conservation and historic preservation easements.
Represent clients in audits with the IRS and state tax authorities.

Advise and plan for conservation buyers, represent individual and corporate clients in structuring bargain sales of easements and property to conservation and preservation organizations and government agencies, plan for charitable gifts and bargain sales to charity by S corporations owning land, and plan for and create family private foundations and charitable trusts, especially in connection with multi-generational family land and tax planning.
- Coordinate historic preservation and conservation easement projects on National Landmark, National Register, and other historic properties.
- Work and consult with
property owners and their advisors, and conduct workshops and continuing legal education programs in more than forty-six states and abroad.
